These are really cool Art Deco style plates from Philippe Deshoulieres of France. The plates depict scenes of young rich people having fun in the 1930s. Not only are they cute, but they’re made of the highest quality Limoges clay. Some of the finest china in the world is made in that region because of the quality of the local clay which they use to make the plates. Here’s a little bit from their web site:
